All Bag Lady Bags are made by the woman who have experience living out of their bags!
Woman on the streets... woman in shelters....woman living on skid row... in cardboard boxes and under bridges.... Mothers with no place to go... elderly with no source of income....sisters, grandmothers....
Each bag comes with a unique story attached to the tag...the story of the woman who made your bag....a story of disapointment ,despair, big dreams and HOPE! and each bag is sure to be hand made, with its unique look made just for you by one of our woman on the streets or in a homeless or domestic abuse shelter.
All bags are made out of 100% recycled material !
With all proceeds benefiting directly the homeless ladies who make the bags…. BLB is more than a Hand-bag line … it’s a grassroots movement and great cause, saving our environment while empowering woman to be self-sufficient and to follow their dreams!
100% of all profits from our online store sales go directly to the 'Bag Ladies' making the bags.
BLB allows homeless mothers, elderly and disabled homeless woman to work at their own pace, while helping them not only earn money, get of the streets and stay of the streets, but also take charge of their future, by becoming a team member, collaborator and part of the BLB community.
BLB's Q'orianka Kilcher and Sonia Rockwell are proud to announce that BLB just moved to into our modest BLB headquarters located in the Culver City arts district!
